Happy to announce that Nynne Selin Eidnes have been selected for Young Producers Club, an initiative by DFI and The Danish Film School in Cannes this year. Looking forward to meeting the other Nordic participants and having a great time listening to their experiences.
We are thrilled to announce that ME, MYSELF & MARTIN LAURSEN will air on Danish TV2 on wednesday feb. 6th at 22:40 – right after the Denmark/Macedonia match.
This is as close to PrimeTime as a New Danish Screen film ever gets and we are not just thrilled, we are also certain that Denmark will beat Macedonia. Double Win!
Just got development support from The Danish Film Institute – New Danish Screen – for a new short film “Murdering Katarina” about a regular guy who murders his house android that he has customized to look like his ex-girlfriend, in more and more elaborate ways. Sci-fi violence action with a humouristic twist. Yay!
We are piecing together the production and will know within a month if all our dreams come true. Are we exited? You betcha!
Director Helene Moltke-leth and I will be pitching on thursday at the EDN Art documentary online pitching session.
Gloomy Haven is not your average art portrait, it is a music historical film that highlights the changes in political perspectives and landscapes in regards to discrimination found, both in the United States and in Denmark. It is a cultural journey from the year 1925 until today, surrounding the lives of legendary Jazz musician Sahib Shihab and his son Jamil GS, an internationally acclaimed music and fashion photographer. Seen through father and son, and each of their artistic expressions, the film shows the social transformations in the Danish as well as American society.

Sex is, as you can see serious business, as we learned from therapist Benthe Dandanell. Traumas can however be shaken off.
Werewolf expert Lars-Ole Jørgensen tells us about the mythology of werewolfes, that have existed since the ancient greeks. Or was that geeks?
Another good screening with The Danish Film Institute, hopefully the edit will be locked next week so we can get the film ready for the grand premiere at CPH:DOX
Today we worked on the arenas of the film. We explored all the places teenagers would hang out a small provincial town. Here is Director Tor Fruergaard at the board, deciding which arenas to develop.
Scriptwriter Sissel Dalsgaard Thomsen puts words of wisdom from consultant Hanna Lundblad on the board. We are in full swing on Day 1 of the GROWING PAINS workshop. Today we worked on the characters, and good things are starting to happen. We now have a vet in the film.
This is the basis of both a documentary and a fiction film, where an actor uses a real person as the basis of the character in the feature film. We wish explore the human boundaries of both the actor the portrayed and the image of them both in the fiction character. In the words of Magritte “this is not a person – it is the image of a person”
We just received development support for Growing Pains. A 25 min. animated shortfilm about a boy that turns into a werewolf when he gets horny.. Erotic werewolf action with Classic 2D animation in Stop-motion backgrounds…

A social awareness documentary series about shared children. These children have 2 homes, 2 families, 2 birthdays, 2 bicycles and 2 completely separated everyday lives that they navigate in and relate to.
We’re getting ready to show an almost final edit to DFI. Hopefully we will lock edit soon after that, so we can move on to post production.
